Now Commenting On:

A day off for the Giants today. Next up: a trip to San Diego to play the Chargers this Sunday. The Giants are 0-2 vs Philip Rivers.

Some clips from the locals this morning....

Dave Hutchinson of the Star-Ledger wonders out loud if the Giants should shut JPP down for the season: "We have a hard time finding the value in playing Pierre-Paul at this point, especially with a young talent like Damontre Moore waiting in the wings to gain critical experience. What is there to gain by playing Pierre-Paul?"

The Post's Mark Cannizzaro writes the Giants are now in better shape than the Jets: "The Giants have impressed as they’ve climbed to 5-7 by winning five of their last six games following an 0-6 start — the latest win Sunday night’s 24-17 road triumph over the Redskins....The Jets have regressed as they have plummeted to 5-7 by losing three consecutive games after reaching their peak at 5-4 after what looked like a statement win over the Saints — the latest loss Sunday’s 23-3 embarrassment at home to the Dolphins."

ESPN's Dan Graziano says pass protection is still the Giants' biggest issue: "The New York Giants will have a lot of areas to address once their season is over, a lot of problems to correct. But the biggest and most important remains their ability to protect quarterback Eli Manning. The offensive line has suffered through a ton of injuries and changes this season, and they've evolved into a strong run-blocking unit in spite of it all. But Manning still faces way too much pressure."

Giants' safety Antrel Rolle joins Daily News Live to discuss the 24-17 victory for the Giants over the Redskins on Sunday night.
