Now Commenting On:

The Giants will travel up the Foxborough today for their final preseason game tomorrow night vs the Patriots. Tom Coughlin revealed some of his strategy, stating the starters will play 12-15 plays and then give way to the reserves.

James Brewer is the new left guard on the offensive line, a position he has not played in quite some time.

"I haven’t really played it that much, but after this week, Flats (OL coach Pat Flaherty) feels I’m actually a natural at left as far as my footwork, technique and how I bend, so if he’s confident in me, then I’m confident in it as well," said Brewer.

Kevin Boothe, the regular LG, will be filling in at center for the injured Davis Baas (knee) this week. Chris Snee will be at his regular RG spot and LT Will Beatty and RG Justin Pugh round out the rest of the line.

Eli Manning will start at QB and rookie Ryan Nassib, who did not play vs the Jets last week, will be his immediate relief.  That's a job he's going to have to begin to embrace sooner or later.

"I’m definitely going to have to be ready to go a lot sooner as opposed to the last two, three games," Nassib told reporters yesterday. "My goals, going in…planning on executing, getting the ball out fast and trying to put some points on the board."

With the Giants' suddenly short at safety, rookie Cooper Taylor will finally dress this week. He had been sidelined the first three games with a sore hamstring and saw increased reps this week at practice.

In addition to Cruz and Baas, CB Jayron Hosley (ankle) and DE Jason Pierre-Paul (back) are unlikely to play. DE Damontre Moore (shoulder) could see action, but Coughlin was unsure of his status yesterday. WR Ramses Barden (knee) needs to play IMO or run the risk of getting cut. DT Markus Kuhn is still on PUP.
