SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Ranked 37th in the ESPN.com national rankings, 6-foot-8 2015 power forward Ted Kapita has not played a game this season for Huntington (W.V.) Prep due to a lingering hip injury.

"I have a pinched nerve in my left hip," Kapita said after his team's victory over Our Savior New American (N.Y.)?at the 2015 Hoophall Classic. "I'm going through a tough time with my leg right?now, and not playing is making me kind of mad."

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- In one of the biggest individual and team matchups of the Hoophall Classic, Thomas Bryant and Huntington (W.V.) Prep handled Cheick Diallo and Our Savior New American (N.Y.).

With Kentucky head coach John Calipari?and Syracuse associate head coach Mike Hopkins sitting front and center, Huntington Prep won, 76-57, and Bryant finished with a double-double of?11 points and 10 rebounds. The 6-9 Diallo -- who is considering Kentucky among his five schools but remains wide open -- went for 24 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.

Thomas Bryant?took an official visit to?Indiana over the weekend and could potentially take two more officials at some point.

Bryant, a 6-foot-10, 235-pound big man from Huntington (W.V.) Prep, has now visited Syracuse Missouri and Indiana.

While he has been focusing on those three schools, his mother said two more visits are possible.

Thomas Bryant has postponed his weekend visit to Indiana because of a school project and will now visit the Big Ten school Oct. 17-19, Huntington (W.V.) Prep coach Arkell Bruce?told SNY.tv.

Bryant recently visited Syracuse and will visit Missouri?the?weekend of Oct. 10, when guards Isaiah Briscoe and Antonio Blakeney are also expected.

Bruce said the Rochester (N.Y.) big man?is basically working with those three schools -- Missouri, Indiana and Syracuse -- as of now, and will commit "whenever he's ready."

Missouri made a bold move Monday with the hiring of?former Huntington Prep head coach Rob Fulford.

Fulford has coached a slew of NBA and Division 1 players, most notably Andrew Wiggins, who could be the No. 1 pick in Thursday's NBA Draft, and Gorgui Dieng of the Minnesota Timberwolves. This?year's team sent JaQuan Lyle to Oregon, Jalen Lindsey to Providence and Josh Perkins to Gonzaga.

The DICK'S Sporting Goods High School National Tournament (formerly the National High School Invitational) features seven of the top eight ranked boys teams by USA Today.

The boys field includes defending NHSI Champion and No. 1-ranked Montverde Academy (FL), coached by former St. Patrick coach Kevin Boyle, as well as three different 2014 State Champions: Northside Christian Academy from North Carolina, The Sagemont School from Florida and Rainier Beach High School from Washington.

"He's comfortable enough with all the information he has and the visits coming up so he can put all his focus on the prep school," Randy Perkins said in regards to his son's move to Huntington from Aurora (Co.) Regis Jesuit.
