"The New York Islanders announced that goaltender Rick DiPietro had arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a meniscus injury. He will be out 4-6 weeks."
Some unanswered questions:
When did DiPietro have the surgery?
Is it true that he had it yesterday, as a hospital worker unconscionably leaked to a fan on Islandermania? (Not that there's anything wrong with the official team message board running the scoop. Congrats to them).
(UPDATED, 6:39 pm - The Islanders just informed us the surgery was yesterday)
The Islanders on Tuesday said DiPietro's injury was not related to his previous injuries, but DiPietro had meniscus surgery in the summer. Does this mean it's his other knee?
