Islanders F Casey Cizikas didn't practice Monday as he continues to nurse a lower-body injury from Saturday's contest against the Senators.
Cizikas was sore, according to head coach Doug Weight, but the team is unsure when Cizikas will return to the ice.
"He's a little sore today so he took the day off," Weight said after practice, "but I don't think it's going to be anything serious. Could be 3 or 4 days, could be a week or he could be playing tomorrow."
The Islanders are set to face the Canucks Tuesday night followed by the Senators again on Friday. The 26-year-old center has notched eight points (four goals, four assists) in 23 games this season.
