The Islanders will try to get some revenge tonight and put back-to-back loses behind them.
The Blues and Islanders will face-off against one another for the second time in less than a week. The Islanders will have Jaroslav Halak start in net tonight. He surrendered six goals on Saturday in a 6-4 loss to St. Louis at Nassau Coliseum.
Halak was scheduled to start in Minnesota on Tuesday, but a minor injury forced a last second change.
Islander Head Coach Jack Capuano will make some adjustments to the lineup. Eric Boulton came off of injured reserve and will take Josh Bailey's spot. Bailey is suffering from a lower body injury. Matt Donovan will get back into the lineup as well and Griffin Reinhart will sit.
Keith Allen will start for the Blues. David Backes, Alexander Steen and Jay Bouwmeester will be in the lineup for St. Louis as well.
This will be the final meeting between the Western Conference foe and a chance for the Isles to put Saturday's collapse behind them."We’re not very happy with the way we played," Matt Martin told the team's website about Saturday's loss. "We’re not happy with the way we responded to their push. They were physical, fast, they were moving their feet and getting pucks on net. They were really doing everything we need to do to be successful. They beat us at our own game a bit."
