2014 will come to a close for the Islanders on the road in Winnipeg.

This will be the final meeting of the 2014-15 season between the Jets and Islanders. The Isles are 6-2-1 in their last nine games against Winnipeg.
Jarsolav Halak will start in net once again for the Islanders. he made 26 saves on 30 shots against the Jets in their last contest. The rest of the lineup will remain the same as the previous game. There was some thought that Michael Grabner could return to the Isles lineup tonight, but that will not be the case. Grabner is expected to return during the road trip.
Ondrej Pavelec will start in net for the Jets. Michael Hutchinson had started the previous three games for Winnipeg.
A solid road win would be the perfect way to end 2014 and begin 2015. It would also serve as a way for the Islanders to put the two blown leads that occurred behind them.
