Josh Ho-Sang has been recalled from Bridgeport of the AHL on emergency conditions, the Islanders announced Wednesday.
Ho-Sang had been recalled Tuesday and was then returned to Bridgeport later in the day.
He has 10 goals and 26 assists in 48 games this season for Bridgeport. He leads the team in assists and is second in points.
The Islanders selected Ho-Sang with the 28th overall pick in the 2014 National Hockey League Draft.
This has all been very interesting. And it's anyone's guess whether all this posturing means a trade is on the horizon.
But if Ho-Sang does eventually stick for more than a game or two, it'll be interesting to see if he can deliver with the big club. That could open up a world of possibilities for the Islanders in terms of scoring and skill at a fraction of the cost of acquiring a winger in the offseason.
So who knows if this truly is the start of the Ho-Sang era, but just in case, stay glued to your TV against the Stars. Because when Ho-Sang skates, there's always a potential to see something on the ice you've never quite seen before.
