The injury-plagued Islanders called up forward Connor Jones from Bridgeport Saturday.
The Islanders have sustained a number of injuries recently. Earlier Saturday, they announced John Tavares is "week-to-week" with a lower-body injury believed to be a hamstring problem.
Jones, 26, played 56 games this season, with the Sound Tigers with five goals, 13 assists and a plus-8 rating. He signed a two-way contract with the Isles. Feb. 22.
The Islanders trail the Bruins by six points in the race for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot. New York has five games remaining, Boston four.
