The Islanders have emergency recalled defenseman Ryan Pulock from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the team announced Wednesday.
No announcement was made whether the move entails an injury to another player or not.
Pulock, 22, reorded four points in 15 regular-season games last year and added three more points in the playoffs.

As I wrote in my column this afternoon, Pulock does indeed get the call, although the circumstances are less than ideal.
Sources tell SNY that Shane Prince is likely ready to go soon, as early as Sunday versus the Minnesota Wild, hence the emergency designation for the 22-year-old.
There is no word of any injury suffered by a defenseman in last night's 3-2 loss to the Sharks. If that is indeed the case, he will likely be returned to the Sound Tigers once Prince is activated and will have to continue to wait out the Anthony Beauvillier/Mathew Barzal/Alan Quine battle for a roster spot.
Pulock has picked up an assist in Bridgeport's first two games with two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating.
