Visnovsky has played in each of the last four Olympics, dating back to Nagano in 1998. The Slovakian team has never medaled, but had their best finish ever last time around in 2010, finishing 4th. They also recently earned a silver at the 2012 World Championships.
In an interview with Sport.sk, Visnovsky explained how he plans to approach his Olympic decision:
[sny-box]There is a chance that you will be [on] the team?"Of course there is... I decide mainly by how will I feel during the season."[/sny-box]
The defender also mentioned that he expects this season to be "at least as good as the past [season]," adding that the team has not changed much from the one that made the playoffs and the younger players have gained experience.
Visnovsky was also asked about the yearly rumors of Miro Satan playing on the Islanders, but said it was a decision for GM Garth Snow to make.
