Governor Andrew Cuomo on Monday will announce the Islanders' plan to play 12 games at the Nassau Coliseum next season, reports Newsday.
The Islanders will split time between the Nassau Coliseum and Barclays Center next season, Bloomberg reported. The team will finish the season with 29 games at the Barclays Center.
The Islanders could end up dividing up their home games between the Nassau Coliseum and Barclays Center in future seasons until the team's new Belmont Park arena is completed, according to Bloomberg. The Islanders last month landed the rights to build the Belmont Park arena.
Barclays Center reportedly pushed the Islanders to play more home games at Nassau Coliseum, per The Post's Josh Kosman and Larry Brooks.
The team has endured poor attendance numbers since moving to play games at Barclays Center in 2015-16.
