The Islanders close out their long road trip with a game in St. Louis against the Blues.
According to STATS:
- The Islanders defeated the Canucks, 4-3, in overtime on Thursday night at Rogers Arena, winning their second straight tilt, and improving to 5-2-1 in the last eight road games overall. New York has potted at least four goals 19 times in its last 35 games -- tied with Pittsburgh for second most in the league since December 20 (Washington -- 20).
- New York beat St. Louis, 3-2, in these clubs' first meeting of the season on December 8 at Barclays Center. Dating to the beginning of 2015-16, the Isles have taken three straight vs. the Blues, with all the victories coming by a single tally.
- Josh Bailey had three helpers Thursday night, giving him five assists during his current three-game point streak, and recording his second three-point performance of the year (had zero such games last season). Bailey had three points total (1g, 2a) in nine career skates against the Blues.
- St. Louis, which plays Anaheim Friday night, is 7-2-0 (.778) in the second of back-to-back games this season -- third best in the league entering play this weekend.
