The Islanders were still fuming over the events of Game 4 during Wednesday's practice on Long Island, but the team now has to turn their attention to beating the Capitals and returning to Uniondale with a series lead. The Isles will have to try to deal with the loss of Lubomir Visnovsky, who is out indefinitely after Tuesday's hit by Tom Wilson, according to Newsday. Islanders' Head Coach Jack Capuano is choosing between Griffin Reinhart and Ryan Pulock to fill the void. Both players will take part in warmups before a decision is made.
The visiting Islanders will have a player return to the lineup, as well. Mikhail Grabovski will appear in his first game since February 19 against the Nashville Predators. Capuano was not sure who would come out of the lineup, but reports suggest that Brock Nelson will be scratched tonight.
Braden Holtby will start in the net for the Capitals and Jaroslav Halak will be in net for the Islanders.
Tensions are expected to be high when the two teams hit the ice at the Verizon Center.
