The New York Islanders face the Carolina Hurricanes on the road on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
According to STATS:
- The Hurricanes have won three consecutive games against the Islanders, after losing each of their previous four games against the Isles.
- The Hurricanes have not scored or allowed a single power-play goal over their last five games, which is tied for the third-longest such streak in the NHL this season. Earlier this season (December 21 -- January 4), the Hurricanes had an NHL-high seven-game streak of not scoring/allowing a power-play goal.
- Entering the weekend, the Hurricanes are one of just three teams (also Red Wings and Maple Leafs) that do not have a single skater with more than 45 points this season.
- Chris Terry is currently working on a career-long three-game goal streak, after scoring a total of just three goals over his previous 47 games.
