The father of one of the top prospects in the Class of 2010 says he is "disappointed" with the coaching changes at Rutgers that were announced on Tuesday.

Torrel Harris, the father of 6-foot-8 Long Island forward Tobias Harris, had established a close working relationship with Craig Carter. Rutgers was the first school to offer Tobias, when he was in 8th grade.

But Rutgers announced that former Lehigh and East Stroudsburg head coach Sal Mentesana had been hired as an assistant coach and Carter, the captain of the last Rutgers team to make the NCAA Tournament (1991), had been shifted from assistant to the new job of "recruiting coordinator."

So I'm leaving my house tomorrow at around 9 a.m. for the Summer in the City event at St. John's. We hear many big-time coaches, including Villanova's Jay Wright, Tennessee's Bruce Pearl, Marquette's Buzz Williams and St. John's own Norm Roberts will be on hand to check out the talent, including New Y0rk's own Jayvaughn Pinkston.

From there I'll take a subway to Madison Square Garden to meet my boy Jay Dahl, who I went to elementary school with and once had us re-pick the kickball teams on the playground because one of our friends was upset and crying over the teams. I'll never forget how cool and great that was on Jay's part.

From there we're headed out to Giants Stadium to see the double-bill of Anvil and AC/DC. For those who haven't followed it, Anvil is the subject of a tremendous documentary out now that none other than Michael Moore called one of the best docos he's ever seen.
