Now Commenting On:

With just a few weeks left until the start of training camp, we want to hear what you think about the team, top to bottom. Who are you expecting to take on a big role for the group? Who's the sleeper?  Who's set for a decline in production?  Who's unlikely to make the team?

Next up, the Tight Ends …

Up until just a few weeks ago, the Jets had unsuccessfully been trying to add a pass receiving tight end to the roster.  Now with the signing of Kellen Winslow, the Jets are going to have a veteran pass catching tight end who can help out the group.  That is of course, assuming that Winslow can stay healthy and manage his pain which kept him from making an impact with the Patriots last season.  Behind Winslow the Jets have Jeff Cumberland who stepped into the starter's role last year when Dustin Keller was injured much of the season. Cumberland did a passable job but needs to refine his receiving and blocking to be a long-term solution for the team.  Then the Jets have Konrad Reuland who might be threatened by the addition of Kellen Winslow to the team.  Hayden Smith is still getting used to the game, but his brains and athleticism seems to be helping him adjust rather quickly and could have an impact on this team on both special-teams as well as offense -- especially if he can demonstrate his value as a blocker this summer in camp.  The Jets have also added UDFA's Chris Pantale and Mike Shanahan.

It looks shaky, but there's a lot of upside to this group.  How will this group fare?
