The Jets are hot and the Bengals are hoping the answer to cooling them down is quarterback Andy Dalton.
After benching Dalton in favor of rookie Ryan Finley, Dalton will return to their starting lineup, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced on Monday.
In three starts, Finley completed 47.1 percent of his passes for 474 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He did not reach 200 yards passing in a game in any of those starts.
The Bengals are still searching for their first win of the season, but offensively, Cincy averaged 11 points per game under Finley while averaging 17.1 points per game with Dalton earlier this season. The Jets are on a three-game winning streak and have scored 34 points in all three wins.
Dalton completed 60.4 percent of his passes earlier this year as well, with nine touchdowns and eight interceptions in eight games played.
