This was a challenging game. Not so much for the Jets, but for me to break down. The Jets outplayed the Titans from the start with contributions throughout the team and no extra-ordinary performances or particular departures from their usual gameplan. Sure, Muhammad Wilkerson was great, but that's nothing new.
The Jets seems to keep their powder dry in the second half, perhaps saving some of their more creative wrinkles to use over the next few weeks. Maybe this isn't as interesting from an analytical perspective, but if it's a sign the Jets are capable of displaying consistency without using smoke and mirrors then that can only be a good thing for the short-term future of this team.
Next up - on Saturday night - are the Dallas Cowboys, who have struggled with Tony Romo out this season, but are still competitive. They were still within a touchdown against the Packers with less than five minutes to go yesterday, so they're sure to present a challenge in a game the Jets must win to ensure they remain in the postseason mix.
