Jets head coach Todd Bowles said after Sunday's game that QB Bryce Petty will start again for the Jets in the season finale Week 17, per SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
Petty struggled with accuracy and had only 119 yards passing in the Jets' 14-7 loss to the Chargers on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Petty completed 19 of 39 passes for 179 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Jets' 31-19 loss to the Saints last week.
Petty has started two games since taking over for QB Josh McCown, who was sidelined for the remainder of the season with a hand injury. McCown threw 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 13 games for the Jets this season.
Backup QB Christian Hackenberg has yet to take a snap in a regular season game.
