Jets cornerback Morris Claiborne missed Monday's practice due to a "sore foot," and his status for Thursday's game against the Buffalo Bills is up in the air.
Claiborne left Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons due to a foot injury. X-rays came back negative, and the veteran cornerback underwent an MRI on Monday. Head coach Todd Bowles said "it's possible" Claiborne plays on a short week.
Claiborne and defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson, who has been battling shoulder and foot injuries, were among six players who did not practice on Monday, joining fullback Lawrence Thomas (concussion), defensive end Ed Stinson (neck), tight end Jordan Leggett (knee) and safety Terrence Brooks (hamstring).
Cornerback Buster Skrine has not yet been cleared from concussion protocol and was limited at practice. Running back Matt Forte (knee) and offensive tackles Brett Qvale (toe) and Brandon Shell (neck) were also limited.
