Jets receiver Eric Decker was hit with a fine of $9,115 for an unnecessary roughness penalty he took last Sunday in the Jets' 23-22 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Decker was punished for his actions on the Jets' final play from scrimmage, when their ugly comeback attempt ended with an interception by Bengals cornerback Josh Shaw with 40 seconds remaining. Shaw picked off Ryan Fitpatrick by stepping in front of Decker at the Jets 40. Decker rode him out of bounds and then threw him to the ground after the whistle, drawing a 15-yard penalty.
Also from that game, Bengals defensive end Michael Johnson was fined $9,115 for a roughing the passer penalty when he grabbed Fitzpatrick by the facemask.
Notably, Bengals safety George Iloka was not fined for a big helmet-to-helmet on Jets rookie receiver Jalin Marshall, though he was penalized for unnecessary roughness during the game.
