Demaryius Thomas was a surprise activated player for the Jets on Monday Night Football against the Cleveland Browns. However, his first night at MetLife Stadium as a Jet is over prematurely.
The Jets already had lost quarterback Trevor Siemian due to an ankle injury the second quarter of the game.
When the team announced the quarterback's injury designation, as his night was finished, it also indicated that the veteran wideout's night was also over due to a hamstring injury as well.
Thomas aggravated an injury which he previously sustained prior to the game.
Due to the injury, Thomas, 31, did not practice with the Jets at all prior to making his debut with New York on Monday after being traded to Gang Green from the New England Patriots on Sept. 10 for a 2021 sixth-round pick.
Thomas had two targets in the game before exiting and caught one of those passes, which netted a one-yard loss.
