Now Commenting On:

John Idzik is going to wait for the Jets cornerback issues to play themselves out.

"Let the answers come out on the field," the GM said while on WFAN on Wednesday morning.

He sees this as an opportunity for other players to get reps they normally wouldn't receive.

With many of the team's cornerbacks injured or sidelined, the team has had to move Antonio Allen to a cornerback position to see if he can handle it. Idzik and the Jets didn't land any big name CBs in the offseason, though they were close to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, before he left and landed with the Giants.

"We did everything that we had to do with [Rodgers-Cromartie]," Idzik said. "[A deal] had got to work for both sides. All the way up until the last moment, we felt like we did everything in our power to make it work for us. If it's not a match, we have to move on."
