Jordan Matthews will rise -- A lot of players put in good times, but one of the most intriguing to me is Jordan Matthews who posted a 4.46 40 yard dash time. Matthews is a big receiver, a film room maven and was productive as a player in a program that struggles against their SEC brethren. While he's been pushed into second round talk, watch to see if his speed doesn't start to push him back up.
Up and Down -- While it can't all come down to 40 yard dash numbers, Kelvin Benjamin and Marquise Lee's was unimpressive. Lee's run even made Pete Carroll say "wow" (but not in a good way). Brandin Cooks will rise (and he'll take $10K home for his efforts) and Odell Beckham will solidify his prospects as a first rounder ... look for Lee and Benjamin to start sliding ...
Clowney's 40 time -- Jadaveon Clowney shocked the football world with a withering 40 yard dash time ... teams in the top three are going to have some tough choices ahead.
Will Schiano end up in New England? -- Is Belichick is turning New England into his little reclamation workshop? Between Josh McDaniels, Mike Lombardi and his chumminess at the Combine with Greg Schiano, don't be surprised if the former Rutgers and Tampa coach wind up with the Patriots.
Steve Smith and the Panthers parting ways? -- Is it possible that Steve Smith might be out in Carolina? Ron Rivera was evasive about his veteran receiver and what his role with the team might be going forward. While most would assume he will be back in 2014, his entry into the free agent market would be one the Jets would be wise to follow closely.
