Right now the Jets have $8.1 million remaining against the 2012 cap, but the Jets practice since the new CBA was ratified has been to try and slam as much money from the following year into this year's cap. The Jets are going to want to keep as much of that $8.1 million with some contract renewals looming next offseason.
UPDATE: According to Aaron Wilson who printed the report, "talks are ongoing."
