Jets rookie S Jamal Adams was named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team for the 2017 season.
The Jets' 2017 first-rounder had a stellar rookie campaign, posting 83 combined tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, and six passes defended. He did, however, fail to secure his first career interception this year.
An LSU product, Adams thought he should have made the Pro Bowl this season, but vowed he would make it every season from here on out.

On his tweet, Adams told NJ.com's Darryl Slater, "It's just the confidence in me. Anybody that steps on the field, they want to be a Pro Bowler. They want to be the best. That's what I've always been taught."
Adams was the only Jets player to be named to the list that also included the Saints' Marcus Williams in the safety category. The 2017 Rookie of the year whent to Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt, while Saints RB Alvin Kamara and Hunt won Co-Offensive Rookies of the Year. Saints CB Marshon Lattimore won Defensive Rookie of the Year.
