During his weekly press conference following a game, Jets head coach Adam Gase begins with his injury report. And following the tough loss to the Dolphins, star RB Le'Veon Bell was on that report.

Gase revealed that Bell was getting an MRI on his knee on Monday morning, and was forced to miss all his normal Monday morning meetings to go through with it. Gase isn't sure exactly why he needs the test on his knee.

"I'm kinda waiting on this information. It was something I heard about this morning," Gase said. "He had to miss everything this morning to get the MRI. Haven't talked to the trainers, still going through everything. I can't say exactly where it happened because he never said anything to me during the game or said anything after the game. Not really sure the extent of this."

Any time you hear anything involving a knee and a running back, panic levels start to increase, but that's not the case for Gase.

"It's hard for me to go anywhere with it mentally because it's so grey," he said.

Bell has had one knee injury over his career: a torn MCL in his right knee that knocked him out of the 2015 season after Week 9. Other than that, he's been clean on the injury report in regards to his knee.

The 27-year-old had over 100 scrimmage yards in the 26-18 loss, with 66 rushing yards on 17 carries and 55 receiving yards on eight receptions. On the season, though, Bell hasn't had the numbers he would have liked at this point of the season with 415 yards rushing and 242 yards through the air with only one touchdown.
