Garrard said that he appreciated the Jets bringing him back out of retirement, but told Hubbuch "It's Geno's team."
I have no idea what to make of this. Does this mean that the team is already set on sticking with Geno in 2014? I just don't think that a guy who has been out of the league for as long as Garrard has can truly offer any actual production on the field should it come to that and asking him back in 2014 already is confounding. No offense, but it would almost make more sense to see if he wants to return as an assistant coach.
Of course, just because they asked him back doesn't mean that he would be a guaranteed player on the 53 man roster come September.
