Josh McCown led the Jets on the game's first scoring drive halfway through the first quarter, running it in for a 10-yard score of his own to put the Jets on top 7-0. The Bills tied it up in the second quarter, but the Jets then went on to score 27 unanswered points.
The Jets were fueled in part by their defense, which had seven sacks on the night. Jordan Jenkins had two sacks, Demario Davis had eight tackles and a sack, and Darron Lee had three tackles for a loss.
Matt Forte scored a pair of touchdowns and combined with Bilal Powell to ammass more than 150 yards on the ground, while Robby Anderson hauled in four catches for 48 yards and a score to lead Jets receivers on an otherwise-quiet night for the team's passing game.
