The Jets held workouts with six players on Tuesday, reports NFL Insider Adam Caplan.
The team worked out wide receivers Corey "Philly" Brown, Josh Huff, and Paul Turner; defensive ends Datone Jones and Alex McCalister; and defensive tackle Stefan Charles.
Brown, who was signed by the Panthers in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, had 1,019 yards receiving and seven touchdowns in three seasons.
Huff was a third-round draft pick by the Eagles in 2014 and went on to catch 51 passes for 523 yards and six touchdowns, but was released in November of last year after he was arrested. He joined the Buccaneers shortly after and was released at the end of training camp this season.
Turner, 24, signed with the Eagles in 2016 as an undrafted free agent. He was waived earlier this month after suffering a fractured scapula in August. McCalister was also cut by the Eagles following a hamstring injury.
Jones is a former first-round pick who started his career with the Packers, signed a one-year deal with the Vikings but was cut in September after injuring his shoulder. He worked out with the Patriots this week.
Charles, cut by the Jaguars earlier this month, has talied 60 tackles and five sacks in his first five NFL seasons.
