Now Commenting On:

Uncertainty continues to cloud the Jets' receiving corp. Santonio's refusal to restructure leaves him a prime candidate to be released, dead money be damned, the development of Stephen Hill is no guarantee, three wide receivers are free agents (Edwards and Schilens [UFA] and White [ERFA]) and beyond Jeremy Kerley, a bunch of unknowns lay in wait looking to prove themselves in training camp.

It's with no surprise then that the Jets have expressed interest in Rams wide receiver Brandon Gibson. He wasn't the focal point of the Rams' inconsistent offense however, he managed respectable totals last season (691 receiving yards and five touchdowns, both career highs) and would likely be a nice #3 receiver on the Jets. However, as of yesterday, Gibson had been in what was described as 'serious' discussion with the Dolphins.

The Jets reportedly have interest in bringing back Braylon Edwards for another go however, Brian Costello of the Post reports that they may explore other options before approaching Edwards.
