One of the RBs they're looking at is Maurice Jones-Drew (Mehta, March 11). Jones-Drew rushed for 803 yards and five touchdowns in 2013. In eight NFL season, all with Jacksonville, Jones-Drew has over 8,000 rushing yards and 68 touchdowns, with a career high of 15 in 2009.
Jacksonville has had one of the worst offensive lines for a while now so it is reasonable to think that if given a better supporting cast Jones-Drew could be a good complement to the hard hitting Chris Ivory and the versatile though unspectacular Bilal Powell. The Jets need a third down back and with a better offensive line (and overall offense believe it or not) Jones-Drew could benefit from being in a better situation as a player.
