Jets kicker Sam Ficken drilled a 44-yard field goal as time expired on Sunday to give the Jets a 22-21 win over the Dolphins.

The third year kicker from Penn State was 3-for-3 on field goals for the day, while going 1-for-2 on extra points.

After the game, Ficken was all smiles as he received praise from head coach Adam Gase and quarterback Sam Darnold.

"Been doing this for a while," Ficken said. "Obviously this one feels really good. I had a couple game winners in college. This is definitely the best moment, kick I've had in my pro career."

Darnold was happy to see his kicker help the Jets get their fifth win of the season, especially after watching him in practice.

"I was confident," Darnold said. "He drills those all the time in practice. So it was cool to see him do it in a game, in that huge situation."

While Gase had full confidence in Ficken's ability to win them the game.

"High. It was high," Gase said. "Because he's our kicker. In my head, if it's our kicker, I expect him to make it."
