Jets head coach Todd Bowles said S Rontez Miles and TE Jordan Leggett will not be available for the Jets' opener against the Bills Sunday, per Newsday's Laura Albanese.
Miles broke his orbital bone in two places, and Bowles said that there is no timetable for his return at the moment. Miles said he could return to the field soon on Wednesday.
The 28-year-old has spent his first two seasons with the Jets. Last season, he posted 34 tackles and three forced fumbles.
Bowles is not sure if Leggett, who has a knee injury, will be available for Week 2 as well.
The fifth-round pick out of Clemson tallied 736 yards and seven touchdowns on 46 receptions last season.
