Their win, plus other doings around the NFL's Week 16 slate, gave the Jets a peek into their future. Specifically, who the club will be facing next season.
Per usual, the Jets had their locked in opponents in the Bills, Patriots and Dolphins -- their AFC brethren.
In addition, the Jets are slated to play the AFC West and NFC West during the 2020 season. For those keeping track at home, that means New York will face the Chiefs, Raiders, Broncos and Chargers in the AFC, along with the 49ers, Seahawks, Rams and Cardinals in the NFC.
The final two opponents were up in the air until now.
New York also had games slated against the same-place holder in the AFC North and AFC South. Those two teams will be the Browns (6-9) and Colts (7-8), respectively.
In 2020, the Jets will see five playoff-bound teams from the current NFL season -- the Bills, Patriots, Chiefs, 49ers and Seahawks.
The times and dates of the Jets' 2020 schedule won't be announced until a later date.
