The Jets announced Tuesday that they've placed CB Trumaine Johnson and WR Josh Bellamy on Injured Reserve.

Johnson, who played in seven games this season (five starts), had 25 tackles, two passes defended and one interception on the season before being placed on IR. He exited the Jets' loss to the Jaguars in Week 8 with an ankle injury and did not play in their loss to the Dolphins this week.

Based on his play for the team over the last two seasons and how his contract is set up, it isn't too far off to believe that Johnson will not suit up in a Jets uniform again.

Bellamy played in seven games for the Jets this year after signing with the team in the offseason, catching two passes for 20 yards, while also recording six tackles on special teams--good for second most on the team.

The Jets will host their in-state, stadium-sharing rival New York Giants on Sunday and will try to pick up their second win of the season.
