The Jets are working toward a deal to bring back cornerback Darryl Roberts, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.

They will not, however, be bringing back Morris Claiborne, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

Roberts, 28, played well for the Jets last season, finishing with 48 tackles, an interception and seven pass deflections. He allows the Jets to have a reliable depth option and can also be used on special teams.

Claiborne, on the other hand, will hit free agency after the Jets re-signed him to a one-year, $5 million deal last year.

The 29-year-old was serviceable, finishing with 57 tackles, two interceptions and 17 pass deflections last year, but the Jets could be targeting other corners in free agency.

Gang Green reportedly had interest in Texans cornerback Kevin Johnson, but he has agreed to a deal with the Buffalo Bills, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
