Awful news surfaced from Jersey City, NJ on Tuesday, where two active shooters were in a firefight in a residential area with police officers.

While this was happening, Jets WR Quincy Enunwa was at a local New Jersey school that needed to be locked down due to the event, per Fox 5 News' Tina Cervasio. Enunwa was making a guest appearance to talk to kids, and he is still at the school, says ESPN's Rich Cimini

Multiple reports have stated that at least six people, including a police officer were killed in the shooting. The two gunmen reportedly opened fire near a convenience store in the Greenville neighborhood of Jersey City.

FBI Newark and ATF Newark were among those law enforcement on the scene helping local police in the shooting. According to The New York Times, shots were being fired "until just before 2 p.m."
