The Jets could get their pass rusher without drafting one.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Jets are one of three teams that are interested in Seahawks franchise-tagged defensive end Frank Clark.

The Colts and Chiefs are the other two teams that have talked with the Seahawks, who are reportedly seeking a first-round pick in return for Clark.

While the Jets are in the market for a pass rusher and are 'determined' to trade out of their No. 3 pick, they are not going to give the pick up for Clark, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.

Without giving up the No. 3 pick, the Jets do not have the assets to make a trade for the pass rusher.

If the Jets do trade down, they ideally would want to receive additional picks, particularly a second-rounder to recoup the one they dealt to the Colts last year when they traded up to draft Sam Darnold.

Clark, 25, is coming off a career-high 13-sack season and has had 32 sacks in his last three seasons combined. He also has a history of alleged domestic violence, though.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive end was arrested in 2014 while he was in college for allegedly punching his girlfriend in a hotel room, according to police reports citing multiple witnesses. He was charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of assault, but the charges were later pleaded down to disorderly conduct.

GM Mike Maccagnan has taken a hard-line stance against adding players with a domestic violence history, removing running back Joe Mixon from his draft board in 2017 and choosing not to pursue Kareem Hunt following his release from the Chiefs.

The evidence against Mixon and Hunt was much stronger, though, with videos of each of their incidents surfacing to the public.

Any team that signs Clark would have to work out a long-term deal or pay him the $17 million he is expected to make on the franchise tag this season.
