The Jets on Tuesday released RB Travis Cadet, signed CB Robert Nelson, and added two players to their practice squad.
LB Jeremy Cash and RB Akeem Judd were signed to the practice squad and S Harold Jones-Quartey was cut from the practice squad.
Cadet joined the Jets last month to help fill the gaps when the backfield was plagued with injuries, but Matt Forte and Bilal Powell have since returned.
Nelson was promoted from the practice squad as Xavier Coleman continues to deal with a shoulder injury. Nelson had an interception and 20 tackles in 11 games for the Texans last season.
Nelson, 27, went undrafted in 2014 and has spent time with the Browns, Cardinals, Texans, and Patriots. The Jets signed him to their practice squad on Sept. 26.
