DL Lawrence Thomas and OLB Freddie Bishop have been signed off the practice squad before Sunday's game against the Raiders. The Jets also waived/injured LB Edmond Robinson, who will revert to injured reserve if he isn't claimed by another organization.
Thomas, who is in his second year out of Michigan State, played only three games last season, including one start. He had six tackles with his best outing coming against the Giants (five tackles).
Bishop went undrafted out of Western Michigan and was shortly released by the Lions (who signed him as a rookie). The linebacker then signed with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL, where he started as a practice player. He signed with the Jets during the 2016 offseason and played in four games last year.
Robinson played 21 games with the Vikings during the 2015 and 2016 campaigns. He recorded just eight total tackles and didn't have a turnover. He played in the Jets opener against the Bills last Sunday, but only posted one tackle.
