The Jets will be allowing their season ticket holders to defer payment on their season tickets due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to a team source.
Though the details have not been announced, the Jets have been planning to do this for several days, due to the seriousness of the pandemic. A letter is expected to go out to ticket holders soon. The Jets have a rolling installment plan, and it wasn't immediately clear how long those payments could be delayed.
The Giants announced a similar deferral program earlier on Wednesday. It is expected that several other NFL teams, if not all of them, will soon follow suit.
The NFL, of course, has adjusted much of its business in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, shuttering team facilities, postponing the annual owners' meetings, and cancelling pre-draft scouting trips.
The NFL also has delayed the start of teams' offseason training programs, though free agency did open on schedule this week.
