The New York Jets will meet with former Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley this week, according to the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta.
Conley, whom Scouts Inc. rates as the No. 21 prospect in the 2017 NFL Draft, totaled four interceptions and eight passes defensed in 13 games with the Buckeyes last season.
A 6-foot, 195-pound junior, Conley ran a 4.44-second 40-yard dash, had a 37-inch vertical leap and recorded a 6.68-second three-cone drill time at the NFL combine.
"He's not as good as the other cornerback (Marshon Lattimore), but he's a good corner," one NFC scout told NFL.com. "If he measures over 6-foot and runs in the low 4.4s he will come off the board on Thursday night."
His draft profile on NFL.com compares him to Aqib Talib.
Conley is slated to meet with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who have the No. 4 pick, on Monday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Jets, who will meet with Conley on Tuesday, have the No. 6 pick in the draft, which begins April 27.
