The defensive tackle is expected in camp on Thursday, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
Cornerback and other first-round pick Dee Milliner's contact status remains up in the air.
As I wrote back in June, Richardson is going to get a four year, $10m deal, fully guaranteed and with a fifth year team option.
As for Milliner, Kristian Dyer tweeted some encouraging news last night:
The first practice of training camp is on Friday morning, so the Jets would prefer not to delay things much longer.
Richardson was, by many in the draft analyst community, the very best gap penetrating defensive linemen in the 2013 class. While playing a staid five technique will be a new role for him, we are sure that the Jets won't stifle him in that role specifically. Richardson with Coples and Wilkerson is going to make for a fearsome, if not beefy, pass rush.
