"We feel like we're prepared, we're confident and we're excited to improve our football team next week," General Manager John Idzik said on Wednesday.
Idzik said the 12 picks the Jets have provides them a lot of flexibility.
Terry Bradway, the senior director of college scouting, said that they will likely stay with the No. 18 pick, which will "feel like there are a group of players there we really like that could help us."
"We're happy about it," Bradway said of the team's pick.
The team plans to be "open minded" about the draft, Idzik said.
Their draft board will likely be set be the beginning of next week, according to the GM.
