The Jets waived TE Will Tye and released RB Marcus Murphy from the practice squad on Tuesday.
Tye, who joined the Jets in September after he was waived by the Giants, hauled in four passes in three games with the Jets this season. He was inactive for the Jets' Week 4 win against the Jaguars.
Tye's release comes as WR Jalin Marshall is set to return from an early-season suspension.
Murphy first joined the Jets in training camp, was cut on Sept. 3, and re-joined the Jets' practice squad on Sept. 4. A former Saint, Murphy played in all 16 games two seasons ago.
