The Jets and Redskins will have joint practices from Aug. 12 to Aug. 14 ahead of their preseason game on Aug. 16, and Washington's defense seems to be ready to go after current Jet wide receiver Terrelle Pryor.

Redskins linebacker Zach Brown called out Pryor, who signed a one-year, $4.5 million deal with New York after one year with the Redskins, by saying other members of Washington's defense "have it out for him."

"That's going to be something right there," Brown said on "Inside the Locker Room" on Team 980, according to NBC Sports Washington's JP Finlay. "The boys are gonna have it out for him. We can put hands on him now ... [head coach] Jay [Gruden] ain't here to protect you anymore."

Brown said the Redskins coaching staff last year would not allow the defense to hit Pryor, who caught just 20 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown in nine games. He said Pryor would attempt making one-handed catches in training camp last year, and appeared to hold that against Pryor.

"The boys were already hot for what he was doing last year," said Brown, recorded 127 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks in 13 games with the Redskins last year. "Try to one-hand something while you're with the Jets, you're gonna catch a forearm."

Pryor attributed his struggles last season to an ankle injury he suffered that required surgery, but said earlier this offseason he feels healthy and is looking forward to playing alongside Jermaine Kearse, Quincy Enunwa, Robby Anderson and the rest of New York's receiving corps.

"I just really couldn't focus on my game, because I was too worried about my foot," Pryor said. "It kind of took control and controlled my mind."

August's joint practices will be the first the Jets will have since 2005, when they had drills with the Giants. Washington held joint practices with the Patriots in 2014 and Texans in 2015.
