Top quarterback prospect Josh Allen loves the Jets' trade to get the No. 3 pick in this year's draft.
Speaking to SiriusXM NFL Radio, Allen believes the Jets made the right deal based on who they want to pick come April.
"If they find the guy that they fall in love with, I think that's a team's job to go get him," Allen said. "If they feel like that's the future of their program, I think what they did -- they only traded, what, three second-round picks?...To keep their first-round pick next year was pretty big...I think they still got some good quality there."
Allen could very well be that pick when the Jets are on the clock. The Jets clearly moved up to get their hopeful franchise quarterback, and Allen has been linked to New York in mock drafts this offseason.
To be that quarterback the Jets choose at No. 3, Allen must prove his accuracy isn't as sporadic as it was during his time in Wyoming. He believes, though, that he found the answer to his problem.
"I think that any time that I would miss in college, that was largely in part due to my feet," he noted. "Once [my] feet started to clean up, that's when you saw the ball being placed in the right positions."
Other than Allen, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, and Baker Mayfield are among the quarterbacks the Jets may have a chance to grab.
