Lansanah was a popular member of the team and it is good to see him back in the fold now that he's cleared waivers. On the basis of the information available for 2008 and 2009, Lansanah has already used up two years of practice squad eligibility. That means that if the Jets roster dips below 53 at any point, they have to add him to the active roster or release him from the practice squad. Since he's a good special teamer, he's the kind of guy that could get activated later in the season if there are injuries.
It's a slim possibility that the Jets could add Graham Harrell to the practice squad today, once he clears waivers. The squad is now at the limit (of eight), so that would mean someone else would need to be let go.
